Mike Smith’s photos are whimsical, insightful, challenging, visually stunning, and always intense. His tiger has a sense of humor; you know he understands you, and wants to be your friend. When you were five, you wanted to take him home with you, but your dad said “No.”
Family vacations with a Kodak Instamatic in hand introduced Mike to photography, but it was in the high school photography class where Mike “pushed-the-boundaries” with his 35mm SLR camera that his hobby became his passion. Now, that love has become his business. Photographic Services International, 630-330-3595, is located in Aurora, Illinois.
Mike was born in Chicago in 1956, and now lives in far western suburban Chicago with his wife, sister-in-law, and three cats.
