The Opening Reception
Friday, June 7th, 6 pm to 9 pm.
I’ve been going up to door County for 23 years and am always amazed at the beauty around the county. I’ve been painting there as long as I’ve been going there. I paint “plein air” or when I am up there for some weeks at a time I set up an easel where ever I am and paint on location. That location may be outside or from a room or porch where I am staying. I take a lot of photographs when I’m up there and those are the memories from which I paint.
Since early childhood I have loved art and began classes in oil painting at the age of 12. I graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in art and have attended numerous courses and workshops in continuing education over the years.
In whatever medium I am working, having fun and expressing myself is what art is all about for me.
The Opening Reception for “Door County” will take place on Friday, June 7th, 6 pm to 9 pm. The exhibit will be on display during gallery hours during the month of June
