Opening Reception

September 1, 2023 from 6 – 8 pm

Come experience the magic of the wilds of Scotland and Ireland. Through a collection of photographs, watercolor and ink illustrations, giclee prints, and mythic dragon gourds, you will get a glimpse into the
world of the forests, highlands, and shores of these ancient isles. You may spot a Red Squirrel playing the bagpipes, a Hedgehog serving a traditional Scotch Meat Pie, or behold the beauty of a castle on the Loch.

Magical Wilds will be the Featured Artist exhibit for the month of September 2023. The opening reception will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday September 1 st . This exhibit will be on display for the month of September during regular Gallery 200 hours.

About the artist

Kari Stewart Pozzessere is a local artist of Scottish, Irish, and Scandinavian descent. An avid reader of fantasy novels and raised on the stories of Beatrix Potter, she is excited to share this love through her own works of art. All the photographs featured in this show were taken by Kari while traveling in Scotland and Ireland, and all the animals are species native to Scotland and many of them are protected or endangered. Kari has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Science in Counseling from Western Connecticut State University and is trained in a variety of artistic mediums. A Marketing and Proposal Specialist at AECOM, Kari is proud to work for a company that shares her passion for protecting our natural world.
