Gallery Opening

See the animal photographs and meet the artist, Mike Smith at the opening reception. Enjoy light refreshments as you explore the new location of Gallery 200 – just a couple blocks west of the old location.
Zoos Gone Wild is a photographic collection of zoo animals showing their own, distinct, personalities. My images are the result of spending hours observing the animals and then freezing a moment in time, reflecting their unique character.
I have created a gallery of images on canvas for a different viewpoint. Some have been affixed to the back of windows to give the impression of viewing wildlife from the comfort of a wilderness cabin. I have found that printing on different substrates gives you the feeling of being there, an artist’s conception, and a unique point of view as you gaze upon the windows. The project brings you closer to the wonders of wildlife that we live with throughout the world.
