Opening Reception June 5, 6-9 PM
Enjoy refreshments, as you enjoy this enchanting event. Faeries glow, graceful ghostly riders canter, unicorns will stand proud, and sailing ships will cross the moon. Wild as its subject, this show spotlights talent in acrylics, pencil, fiber, digital photography and mixed media. This exciting, innovative group show, Fantasy, Fable and Fae, features the following artists:
First Star Art: jrr and jammer are extraordinarily diverse, with work in acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, chalk, ink, photography, and digital design. Fiber puppets are three dimensional and amazing!
Rita Heim: From engineering tech to artist, Rita brings fabulous and whimsical offerings in watercolor and acrylics.
Judith Horsley: Judi is an amazing photographer, calling her work “memory keepers, take photos of everything that catches my interest, from people to shadows on the wall.
Sean Renwick: Our youngest artist, Sean has ”loved to draw ever since he could hold a pencil. He likes to dabble in all kinds of media, like colored pencils, acrylic, ink, chalk… whatever he can get his hands on.”
Mike Smith: Mike Smith’s photos are digitally enhanced and often surreal, letting us see the “other” and the alien as he sees it.
Kathy Steere: Kathy is precise, exacting and imaginative. She “prefers variety, and would rather create art as she sees it than be tied to one medium as a specialty.”
Fantasy, Fable and Fae will be on display at Gallery 200 for the entire month of June. Come in and see what hides within and without!
