Watercolors, Oils and Scarves by Kathi Kuchler

Enjoy refreshments with Kathi and the other Gallery 200 artists at the opening reception, or visit the show during Gallery 200 hours any time during the month of August.

Kathi has been certified as a Botanical Watercolorist and Illustrator by Morton’s Arboretum.

“I began painting at the age of 14 in oils and then turned to watercolors at a later time because I loved the fact that I could take my small round paint palette wherever I went, including on tour buses and airports.  Recently I started working in oils again and then started teaching water- soluble oils, and acrylics of flowers and nature. I also make jewelry by inserting miniature prints of my paintings into cabochon pendants, embellishing the necklaces with charms and other items.  I have also discovered that I love making up-cycling scarves with yarn and wool using a Felting needle.  All medium will be represented in the show.”  Kathi Kuchler
