My featured show this year will be a combination of paintings done with the inspiration from nature. In difficult times there is always beauty around us. All we have to do is focus on our surroundings and take in the wonder of God’s creation.
I have been painting since I can remember. When asked if I would like to teach at the DuPage Art League in Wheaton in 1971, I said yes, and have been teaching oil painting ever since. My series of large flowers started in 1991 and I have been consumed with producing every species I can find. My goal is to capture the light with layers of paint and create an almost luminous flower.
Opening receptions have not returned to Gallery 200 yet. Please come to see Nature’s Inspiration during regular Gallery 200 hours Friday 2-6 and Saturday 10-2. In August, Gallery 200 will also be open from 2-6 on Thursdays starting in August. Mask is required. Some Gallery 200 items are listed for sale on gallery200.net. If you purchase there, it can be picked up at the gallery, or delivered within a small radius.
